After our trip to Mexico, we realized the simplest ingredients make the freshest tasting margaritas. Once you make these, you’ll realize how most margaritas you order here are way too sweet!
2 oz Milagro Silver Tequila or any 100% agave tequila
1 oz fresh lime juice
3/4 oz agave nectar or 1/2 oz simple syrup
3/4 oz cold water
Add ingredients to shaker half-filled with ice. Shake well and strain into salt-rimmed* rocks glass. Add as much remaining ice as desired. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge.
*For spicy salt rim, combine 1 Tbsp kosher salt, 1/16 tsp ancho chili powder, 1/16 tsp chipotle chili powder, and lime zest. Store in refrigerator for up to one month.
